Colorado Charity Donates more than 4,000 Toys to Needy Children

In its fourth year, Dolls for Daughters, a Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation Charity, quadrupled the number of toys given away for needy children in Colorado.

Founded by Jessica Bachus, wife of firm found Kyle Bachus, Dolls for Daughters gave away more than 4,000 toys this year and was featured on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. (Play the video clip on this page to see the segment.)

Families with small children lined up more than five hours before the giveaway at the Dfd “Toy Shop.” Boys were also included in the giveaway, which included hundreds of dolls, trucks, planes, playsets and other toys.

Dolls for Daughters also selected one family in need to help through their “Kenzi’s Kidz” organization and has assisted them financially since August 2010.

Jessica, who founded Dolls for Daughters after her daughter Kenzi was stillborn in 2007, said “My angel Kenzi is here and she is helping all these families.”
