Entry Level Licensed Attorney – Complex Litigation

Bachus & Schanker, LLC is Colorado’s injury law firm. Our practice is devoted to the representation of individuals and families who suffer injury or death caused by the negligent or reckless conduct of others, including those injured in car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and accidents caused by drunk drivers. We also help those injured on the job and those injured by dangerous products and by medical mistakes. Because most injury claims involve insurance, Bachus & Schanker, LLC has lawyers who are well-versed regarding many Colorado insurance coverages including medical payments insurance, bodily injury liability insurance, uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance, health insurance, Workers’ Compensation insurance, disability insurance, property damage insurance, and homeowners insurance

The firm is made up of over 25 trial lawyers and over 100 total firm members. Bachus & Schanker, LLC has represented thousands of clients across the country.

Qualifications and Expectations
We seek an entry-level attorney who is currently licensed to practice in Colorado to join our Complex Litigation Department. Candidates must possess excellent writing skills, have strong attention to detail, and be self-motivated. In addition, candidates for this position must have outstanding communication skills. Being empathetic is a must! The attorney will work in a fast-paced team environment and the role will require long, intense hours. This position is a great fit for candidates who want to learn a craft and establish themselves in a well-positioned plaintiff’s personal injury law firm. Significant time will be invested in the selected attorney.

The position will involve meeting with potential new clients, extensive telephone and email communication with clients, adjusters, and other persons with interests in the cases, researching and understanding relevant statutes and case law, retaining experts, drafting settlement demand correspondence, Colorado Governmental Immunity Act notices, and case-specific/unique correspondence, working with medical providers, lien-holders, and subrogation companies to reduce and/or waive reimbursable balances, learning to litigate personal injury cases, and eventually litigating a few car crash cases.

Intake Specialist – Customer Service

This is a great position for someone looking to begin a career in law but who doesn’t yet have experience. Bachus & Schanker, LLC has over 22 years of experience, and we’re looking for an Intake Specialist to join our team. If you are motivated, an energetic self-starter well-versed in organization, time management and customer service, and work well in a fast-paced environment, then you could be an excellent fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Talk with all potential new clients about the facts of their case.
  • Schedule intake appointments when appropriate, and follow up on all calls and emails regarding the case.
  • Respond to calls and emails immediately, and without delay.

Required skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing
  • Competency in word processing, databases and email
  • Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing and one-time activities, events and projects

Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a motivated associate attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys all aspects of trial work. Attorney will handle a caseload of approximately 30 cases from the start of litigation through trial. Attorney will have a full-time assigned paralegal assigned and will be responsible for supervision of the paralegal.

Qualified applicants must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado. We are seeking an individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, and who has the ability to multi-task. This is not a position for a new attorney. Our ideal candidate has 4-9 years of experience in litigation, is well versed in the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure, and has experience in drafting pleading, conducting depositions, preparing and responding to written discovery, motions practice, and jury trials.

Pre-Suit Case Manager

Our Case Managers are dedicated to each and every client, helping them through the recovery process and insurance claims process after suffering an injury through no fault of their own. Being involved in a car wreck is an incredibly traumatic event. When clients come to Bachus & Schanker, they are injured, and they are scared. On top of that, they are being bombarded by the insurance companies trying to settle with them for less than the full and fair value of their claim. As a Case Manager, you will work closely with the clients to answer their questions and unload the burden of this complicated and confusing process. As a Case Manager, you will also work closely with the attorneys to put together the strongest case we can in order to get our clients a full and fair outcome.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • You will be the relationship and trust builder with our clients.
  • You will regularly communicate with the clients and answer their questions.
  • You will capture information about your client’s story and what they had to endure as a result of someone else’s negligence.
  • You will strategize with the attorneys and prepare information for them about your client’s case.
  • Meeting and exceeding client expectations on the daily (you’re the kind of person who’s proud of your 5-star Uber rating)
  • Working well under pressure (like the song) — you can rock it out with short deadlines
