Denver Families Receive Toys in Chrismas Giveaway
On Saturday, December 20th, the East Denver Collaborative (EDC), in partnership with many generous donors including Dolls for Daughters, Denver Children’s Home, Park Hill United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts of America-Denver Area Council and many others, will be holding a toy giveaway for children ages 2 to 13 years at Park Hill United Methodist Church, 5209 Montview Blvd. (Montview and Forest). This event will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. or until all the toys are gone and will be on a first come, first served basis.
Denver Children’s Home is the lead agency of the East Denver Collaborative (EDC), a Family-to-Family Initiative based on a national program established by the Annie Casey Foundation and adopted by the Denver Human Services Department to strengthen families and communities. Specifically, EDC is designed to develop a positive environment in East Denver where children and their families are supported to thrive and grow. EDC engages in proactive efforts to prevent abuse and neglect and to respect families, their culture and to provide services in the least intrusive manner possible.
Some tips for this giveaway:

- Wear warm clothing, as the line begins outside the building.
- Children do not need to be present.
- All families will receive a limited number of toys. This number will be determined by the amount of donations received.
- Doors will not open early.
