Dolls for Daughters
Every month, Bachus & Schanker and our Cares Foundation feature a nonprofit partner we support in its mission to improve local communities and bring people together for the greater good.
This month’s featured partner is Dolls for Daughters (DFD). Established in 2007, Dolls for Daughters provides toys for both boys and girls who would otherwise go without during the holidays. The program also provides new toys to numerous organizations each year throughout Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and Grand and Weld counties.
Dandizette Magazine writer, Kendra Cutter, wrote an article about DFD’s first annual luncheon that summarizes the concept behind the nonprofit beautifully.
Each year, the Bachus & Schanker Cares team gladly participates in DFD fundraising events such as the Bowl-a-Thon, Bidz 4 Kidz auction, Invitational Golf Scramble and the Toy Shop.
In 2015, we intend to help DFD serve more than 5,000 children living in poverty in Colorado. It is through our partnerships with Colorado nonprofits that the Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation is able to promote positive community changes and help our neighbors in need.
