Morgan comes to the firm with strong experience as an attorney, a legislator, and author. She is currently a serving Senator and the Majority Leader of the Colorado State Senate.
Advocacy for people and the law has long been a part of Morgan's life. Both her parents were lawyers and she spent a good many hours around her parents' disability law practice where she met many people who struggled with physical and financial hardships. The people she met inspired her and prompted her to become a lawyer so that she could help fight for people's rights. She wanted to not only help people individually but to make the system better for everyone.
Morgan Carroll Legal Experience
Morgan studied Psychology and Political Science at CU Denver and received her Juris Doctorate from CU Law, graduating as class president. Morgan began working as a paralegal in her mother's law firm while she was in school with the hope to become a mother-daughter law firm dedicated to helping ordinary people protect and preserve their rights.
When Morgan graduated law school she did join a law firm with her mother and became actively involved in CTLA, WCEA, PELA and the Social Security Disability bars. She has litigation and appellate experience in state, federal and administrative Courts. She has been faculty teaching several courses of Continuing Legal Education in Colorado and active any in many professional legal organizations.

Morgan is a rising star in the Colorado State Senate, having served two terms in the Colorado House of Representatives and recently been re-elected to as the state senator representing District 29, which includes Aurora and eastern Arapahoe County. Ms. Carroll has been selected by per peers as the Majority Leader of the Colorado State Senate, only the second female in state history to hold this position. She previously served as the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and on Health & Human Services, Business, Labor & Technology, Legal Services Committee, Legislative Audit Committee.
During her time in the legislature she has pushed for and passed significant populist reforms including: lobbying reforms, campaign finance reforms, HOA reforms, Insurance reforms, health care reforms, criminal justice reforms, government contracting reforms, and renewable energy financing reforms that brought new companies and jobs to Colorado.
In 2012, Morgan published her first book, Take Back Your Government - A Citizen's Guide to Grassroots Change. Through her writing, she gives readers an inside look at how state legislatures really work and how ordinary citizens can make and change law and policy in their state, effectively becoming their own lobbyists.
Her hobbies have included horseback-riding, home repair, swimming, martial arts, flute, dance, poetry, gardening, reading, and citizen activism on issues that help people.
