The Colorado Safety Belt Coalition: The Colorado Safety Belt Coalition is an alliance of local businesses, law enforcement agencies and parents working to increase safety belt awareness through education and legislation. The goal of the Coalition is to increase the number of lives saved each year by wearing safety belts. Traffic-related injuries are the leading cause of death for children and young adults ages 1-33, and research from the National Traffic Safety Administration shows that safety belts could save almost 50% of the lives lost each year.
