Warren Village All-Star Breakfast Raises Nearly $70,000

Bachus & Schanker, LLC was proud to serve as a Team Player Sponsor for the Friends of Warren Village 2013 All-Star Breakfast. The March 7th event, which was attended by more than 500 caring members of the community, featured a presentation by former NFL quarterback Joe Theismann and raised nearly $70,000 to benefit the work of Warren Village.

In 1974, Dr. Myron Waddell, a physician who worked in Denver’s inner city, founded Warren Village. Dr. Waddell envisioned a community where low-income, single parent families could live safely and inexpensively while working toward economic self sufficiency. Warren Village is recognized as the nation’s first federally subsidized transitional housing program serving single-parent families. Since its inception nearly 40 years ago, Warren Village has served more than 4,000 families. It is a national model for its ability to successfully combine housing with on-site family services, early childhood education and programs for school-aged children.
