The Wall Bop Golf Tournament was held on July 10, 2010 at The Homestead Golf Course in Lakewood, Colorado. The Wall Bop Tournament supports the Brandon & Paul Foundation. Bachus & Schanker employees volunteered at the event where the Bachus & Schanker, LLC Cares Foundation sponsored two holes. We had a great time handing out our golf t's and talking to all the players. Some teams showed their support by dressing up, such as the Rockies Team who were dressed in baseball gear. Although it was a hot day, it was fun and inspiring to meet so many people who had the desire to help support Alive at 25.
The Wall-Bop Golf Tournament is both a way to celebrate the love of life and golf that "Paul-Wall" and "B-Bop", as they were affectionately known to their friends, possessed and a way to raise funds for the Foundation formed in their honor.
Brandon Nichols and Paul Ondrish were killed in a one-car accident on July 13, 2006. The boys were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
The mission of the Brandon & Paul Foundation is to support educational programs for young drivers that focus on the importance of making good decisions and safe driving habits.
The majority of the proceeds from past events have been designated for the Alive at 25 Programs. The Alive at 25 Teen Program focuses on the attitudes and behaviors that affect young drivers, and prepares them to deal with dangerous driving habits and situations.
If you or a loved one has been affected by drunk driving, contact the law firm of Bachus & Schanker, LLC. As the statewide sponsor of MADD, and a continued supporter of the Wal Bob Organization and Alive at 25, we know the effects of drunk driving and we work to reduce this dangerous crime in our state and our communities.
