Dolls for Daughters Helps Underprivileged Children for Third Year in a Row

Just before the Christmas season of 2007, the Bachus family suffered a devastating loss when their baby daughter Kenzi was stillborn. Instead of letting her sorrow effect her family, Jessica Bachus channeled her grief into creating the non-profit, Dolls for Daughters.
Dolls for Daughters has kicked off its 3rd Annual Doll Drive and is collecting new, unwrapped dolls for young girls who are facing poverty, homelessness, abuse and neglect. These dolls will go to families served by Denver Children's Home, SafeHouse Denver, Samaritan House, The Gathering Place, Warren Village and other charities who serve children who might not receive a gift during this holiday season. This year's goal is to collect 800 dolls by December 18, 2009.
"This time of year is hard for me and my family," said Bachus. "Dolls for Daughters is my way to honor Kenzi and the life she would have lived."
In partnership with Dolls for Daughters, The Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation will be collecting multi-cultural dolls and cash donations at the Law Offices of Bachus & Schanker at:
Downtown Denver Location
1400 16th Street, Suite 450
