Bachus Addresses National Center for Victims of Crime Seminar
On June 14, 2012, Kyle Bachus of Bachus & Schanker, LLC was a featured speaker at the event “Civil Justice for Victims of Crime in Colorado: A Primer for Service Providers.” Attending the all-day event were 110 victims advocates eager to increase their understanding of the vital role they play in being a voice for victims and protecting their clients’ civil liberties.
Mr. Bachus spoke on the differences between the criminal and civil justice systems and the advantages and disadvantages of bringing civil litigation. Among a wide array of topics covered were issues impacting victims civil justices rights and the vital role service providers can and should play in assuring victims of crime take full advantage of resources and legal protections available to them.
