Providing a safe and fun environment for children and their families is important to Bachus & Schanker, LLC, which is why members of its Cares Foundation board, employees, and friends and family members spent the last weekend of October volunteering at the 31st annual Boo at the Zoo, the Denver Zoo's premier Halloween event.
Boo at the Zoo offered family friendly entertainment with more than 25 trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal demonstrations, zoo animals, juggling, magic shows, pumpkin-carving demos and more. With a backdrop of beautiful fall foliage, the unseasonably warm weather made the event a great time for for everyone.
"Boo at the Zoo offers kids a fun, safe alternative to neighborhood trick-or treating, while simultaneously allowing them to enjoy a day at the zoo," said Lauren Epke, Chairman of the Bachus & Schanker, LLC Cares Foundation. "We support Boo at the Zoo because we love the idea of helping to put on an event that is enjoyable for kids of all ages. Additionally, providing parents with peace of mind regarding the safety of their kids' Halloween treats, while helping to ensure that the Denver Zoo will be around for years to come for young and old to visit, learn about, and love, is equally as important."
This was the fifth year the Bachus & Schanker, LLC Cares Foundation sponsored the event, and definitely not the last. More than 25 Bachus & Schanker, LLC employees and their friends and family members, ranging in age from 2 to 73 participated - A record number for the firm! Thanks to the Denver Zoo and Entercom Denver for putting on such a wonderful event and for allowing Bachus & Schanker, LLC to be part of it.
