Bachus & Schanker, LLC Attend 2009 American Association for Justice Annual Convention
Founding partners J. Kyle Bachus and Darin L. Schanker are in San Francisco this week attending the American Association for Justice Annual Convention, where thousands of attorneys convene to review and consider tools for their practice, courtroom strategies and issues concerning the American consumer.
AAJ is a national organization whose mission is to promote a fair and effective justice system-and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.
While at the AAJ (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America) convention, in addition to earning CLEs (Continuing Legal Education credit-a requirement for Colorado attorneys by the Colorado Bar Association) Mr. Bachus and Mr. Schanker both hold leadership positions and serve on committees that work to enhance consumer education and legislation.
Since 2004, Mr. Bachus has served as one of the only two elected representatives from the State of Colorado on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. Additionally, he serves as a Leaders Forum Member, Medical Malpractice Section Member, Nursing Home Litigation Section Member and Insurance Bad Faith Section Member. Mr. Schanker is an AAJ Colorado State Delegate since 2006 and is a member of the Leaders Forum, Products Liability Section, Motor Liability Section and the Interstate Trucking Litigation Section.
