Colorado Auto Accident Litigator Chris Elliott
Bachus & Schanker Associate Attorney Chris Elliott focuses his practice on Colorado personal injury and auto accident litigation. Mr. Elliott has a passion for standing up to the powerful and fighting for the rights of the powerless who have been injured through no fault of their own. A Florida native, Mr. Elliott earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The University of Florida in 2001. While attending law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law, Mr. Elliott discovered his passion for helping those in need by volunteering his time at the Public Defender's Office in Oklahoma City assisting the indigent. As a summer law clerk at Bachus & Schanker, LLC he assisted the firm in obtaining relief for Mr. Rosendo Velez, a paramedic badly injured in Manhattan subsequent to the attacks on the World Trade Center.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Elliott worked in the banking industry in Los Angeles for a brief period, and then worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Naples, FL. Mr. Elliott started out prosecuting misdemeanor level DUIs and domestic violence cases. He was then quickly promoted to the general felony crimes division of the State Attorney's Office, and was responsible for prosecuting most felony level cases ranging from violent crimes involving firearms to drug trafficking. As a prosecutor, Mr. Elliott was lead counsel on more than 20 trials that were taken to verdict. His experience prosecuting DUI cases has lead to his dedication in helping victims of drunk driving obtain compensation for their injuries.
When not working on his cases, Mr. Elliott and his wife enjoy travel and the outdoors. Mr. Elliott is also an avid sports fan. He enjoys attending Rockies games, and going back to Gainesville to watch is alma mater Florida Gators play football in the legendary Swamp.
