Man dies, little girl injured in accident on Colorado Boulevard

A man involved in a rollover accident off of Colorado Boulevard and Ninth Avenue died on Saturday, December 28th. A 3-year-old girl who was a passenger in his vehicle is in the hospital at Denver Health Medical Center.

Denver police stated that the man was driving at a very high rate of speed and lost control, then struck a median and proceeded to roll over.

The victims have yet to be identified as well as the exact condition of the girl.

In 2006, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported 43,300 traffic deaths and 2.5 million non-fatal injuries. Speeding was the cause in 30% of all 2005 fatal crashed, killing 13,113 people.
