A fairly new teen past time severely injured a young man in Colorado Springs on Sunday. The stunt, called car surfing, has killed dozens of teenagers across the country including at least 4 from Colorado, over the last 3 years.
Car surfing consists of a person riding on top of or hanging onto a car while in motion. It’s extremely dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. Car surfing is an extremely high-risk behavior in children and adolescents that leads to significant morbidity, long-term disability, and is potentially fatal. The Colorado Springs teen will likely face criminal charges related to his actions.
